Batumi International Airport (BUS) sits about 2 km south of central Batumi on the Black Sea coast — closer to the downtown seafront than almost any other commercial airport in the region. The transfer to Batumi hotels is typically 10–15 minutes. BUS handles both domestic traffic from Tbilisi and seasonal international flights from the Gulf, Israel, Poland, Ukraine and neighbouring Turkey.

Longer hauls also run: BUS to Kutaisi (~2 hours on the expressway), BUS to Mestia in Svaneti (~4.5 hours — the most scenic airport-to-Svaneti combination), and BUS to Tbilisi (~5 hours on the new motorway).

Seasonal pricing and vehicle availability

Batumi’s coastal season runs May through September — demand peaks in July and August. We recommend booking any BUS pickup at least 48 hours in advance during peak weeks. Off-season (October–April), the coast is quiet and same-day bookings are typically possible. All seven vehicle classes are priced on the widget for every BUS route; the Minivan and Minicoach are the most-booked classes in summer thanks to family beach arrivals.
