Kakheti is two hours from Tbilisi and every traveller who comes to Georgia asks about it. A Popular Taxi day trip runs on a fixed hourly rate: we sort the driver, the vehicle, and the routing; you pick the wineries, the village lunch stop, and how long you want to linger on the Sighnaghi city wall at sunset.
Typical itineraries: Sighnaghi + Bodbe + Velistsikhe (8-hour day), Telavi + Tsinandali + Alaverdi (9-hour day), or a three-winery Kvareli circuit. The driver speaks English, has been to every winery we book, and can pivot on the road if a cellar you’d earmarked is closed.

How long is a typical day?
8–10 hours door-to-door from Tbilisi. A 3-winery loop + lunch fits comfortably in 9 hours.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes — every route is priced upfront per vehicle class. Extras (child seats, welcome sign) are optional add-ons listed separately in the booking flow.
What payment methods do you take?
Securely online at booking by card (Visa / Mastercard) in EUR or USD, processed via our secure payment processor with 3-D Secure.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Free up to 24 hours before pickup via the link in your confirmation. Inside 24 hours a 50% charge applies — cancelled flights are exempt.
How Wine-country day trips works in practice
Georgia is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world — qvevri-fermented wine has been made in clay vessels in the South Caucasus for more than 8,000 years — and Kakheti is where most of that production happens. A wine-country day trip from Tbilisi is the highest-value cultural day in Georgia, but it depends entirely on having the right driver, the right vehicle, and the right routing for the cellars you actually want to visit.
We don’t sell a packaged tour. Each day is built around the wineries you name (or, if you’re new to Georgian wine, around a curated three-cellar loop that covers the qvevri tradition, a European-style estate, and a small-batch artisan). Common combinations: Sighnaghi + Bodbe Monastery + Velistsikhe (a classic 8-hour Saturday); Telavi + Tsinandali Estate + Alaverdi Cathedral + a Schuchmann tasting (9 hours, includes lunch); a Kvareli loop through Kindzmarauli, Khareba and a private estate (10 hours, longer drive but quieter cellars).
Pricing is per vehicle for the full day — not per person — so adding travelling companions costs nothing extra up to the vehicle’s seat capacity. Tasting fees at each cellar (typically €5–10 per person) are paid directly to the winery; we never mark them up. Lunch stops are coordinated with the cellars and can include a traditional supra (multi-course Georgian feast) on request.
