Where we take travellers

Six journeys across Georgia

Each can run as a single day or be stitched into a longer route. Tell us what you would like to see and we shape the itinerary around it.

  • Wine country

Kakheti — Sighnaghi, Telavi & the qvevri cellars

A full day east into Georgia's wine heartland. The walled hill-town of Sighnaghi over the Alazani valley, family marani in Telavi, and the qvevri cellars where wine still ferments underground in clay. Tasting stops at Tsinandali, Alaverdi and Kvareli on request — fees paid direct to each estate, never marked up.

  • Caucasus

Kazbegi & the Georgian Military Highway

North along the old Military Highway through Ananuri fortress and the Jvari Pass to Stepantsminda, where the Gergeti Trinity church stands alone beneath Mount Kazbek. We stop for the views over Gudauri and lunch with the mountains in the window. A 4WD vehicle on the high passes in winter.

  • Svaneti

Mestia & the medieval towers of Upper Svaneti

The most remote and most rewarding journey in the country — usually two or more days into Upper Svaneti. Mestia's stone defensive towers, the Ushguli villages beneath Shkhara, and glacier valleys. Overnight stops arranged; the driver stays with you the whole way.

  • Black Sea

Adjara & the coast — Batumi, Ureki, Mtirala

West to the subtropical coast: Batumi's seafront boulevard and old town, the magnetic black sands of Ureki, the botanical garden, and the rainforest waterfalls of Mtirala national park. Combine it with the Makhuntseti arched bridge and falls.

  • City & heritage

Tbilisi & Mtskheta — a capital and a holy city in a day

Tbilisi's sulphur-bath old town, the Narikala fortress and cable car, the balconied lanes of Sololaki, then a short drive to Mtskheta — Georgia's ancient capital, with the Svetitskhoveli cathedral and the hilltop Jvari monastery.

  • Nature & spa

Borjomi & Bakuriani — mineral springs and pine forest

South to the forested Borjomi gorge — the central park and its famous mineral spring, the green Romanov-era architecture, and the narrow-gauge Kukushka railway to Bakuriani. In winter, the gentle family ski slopes; in summer, alpine meadows and pine forest.

How it works

Tours are arranged by message, priced per vehicle

Because every tour is tailored, we arrange them by conversation rather than the online booking widget. Send a dispatcher your dates, the regions you would like to see, your group size and your language — and we reply with a clear itinerary and a fixed per-vehicle quote. Pricing is per vehicle and per day, not per passenger, so a small group travels for the same price as a couple.

A real dispatcher is on the line around the clock. WhatsApp is the fastest way to settle an itinerary; phone and email work just as well.

Tours FAQ

Before you arrange a tour

How do I arrange a tour?

Tours are arranged by message rather than the online booking widget, because each one is tailored to you. Send a dispatcher your dates, the regions you would like to see, your group size and preferred language on WhatsApp, and we reply with a suggested itinerary and a fixed per-vehicle quote.

How is a tour priced?

Pricing is per vehicle and per day, not per passenger — a couple and a small family in the same vehicle pay the same. The quote depends on the vehicle class, the distance covered, and whether the trip runs overnight. Entry and tasting fees are paid directly to each site and never marked up.

Can a tour be customised?

Yes — every itinerary is built around you. Add or drop stops, set the pace, choose your lunches and tastings, combine regions across several days, or start from a different city or airport. Tell us what you have in mind and we shape the route around it.

Are multi-day tours possible?

Absolutely. Svaneti, longer Kakheti loops and combined coast-and-mountain journeys usually run over two or more days. The same English-speaking driver stays with you throughout; we arrange the overnight stops, and the driver's accommodation is included in the quote.

Private tours in Georgia

Tailored journeys, the whole country

Popular Taxi Tbilisi runs private, chauffeur-driven tours across the whole of Georgia — not packaged coach excursions, but tailored day trips and multi-day journeys in a private vehicle with a driver who knows every road and season. Where a transfer takes you from one point to another at a fixed price, a tour is shaped around you: the stops you want, the pace you keep, the lunches and tastings you choose along the way.

Our most-requested itineraries cover the country end to end — the qvevri wine cellars of Kakheti around Sighnaghi and Telavi; the Georgian Military Highway north to Kazbegi and the Gergeti Trinity church; the medieval tower villages of Upper Svaneti around Mestia and Ushguli; the subtropical Black Sea coast of Adjara from Batumi to Ureki; the heritage day linking Tbilisi’s old town with the ancient capital of Mtskheta; and the mineral springs and pine forest of Borjomi and the ski slopes of Bakuriani. Each can be a single day or stitched into a longer route, and the same English-speaking driver stays with you throughout.

Tour pricing is per vehicle and per day, not per passenger — so a family or a small group travels for the same price as a couple, and the cost depends on the vehicle class, the distance, and whether the trip runs overnight. Entry and tasting fees are paid directly to each site and never marked up. Because every tour is bespoke, they are arranged by conversation rather than the online booking widget: message a dispatcher on WhatsApp with your dates, the regions you would like to see, your group size and your language, and we reply with a clear itinerary and a fixed per-vehicle quote.

Every tour carries the same standard as our transfers: a vetted, English-speaking driver, a clean and well-kept vehicle suited to the route — including 4WD for the high mountain passes in winter — bottled water, child and booster seats on request, and a real dispatcher reachable around the clock if plans change on the road.
